President John Mahama has sworn in six Ministers of State.The swearing in took place on January 22nd 2025 after the Nominees were approved by Parliament on Tuesday January 21st 2025.

The candidates underwent a rigorous vetting process ad parliamentary debate before gaining approval. The President, speaking during the ceremony emphasized his government’s commitment to being the leanest and most efficient in the country’s history. He mentioned that His government had rounded off ministerial appointments to 60. He further stated that He will name deputy ministers for some of the ministries capping the ministerial appointments to a total of 60.
The nominees sworn in included:
- Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson -Minister For Finance
- Dr. Dominic Ayine – Minister For Justice /Attorney General
- John Jinapor-Minister for Energy and Green Transition
- Haruna Iddrisu-Minister for Education
- Eric Opoku-Minister for Food and Agriculture
- Governs Kwame Agboza- Minister for Roads and Highways
The President reassured Ghanaians of His commitment to serving in their interest.
