Tragedy struck at Saboba E.P High School when a fire ravaged a girl’s dormitory, claiming the life of one female student who was trapped inside.
Although The fire services responded promptly, but their efforts were hindered by technical difficulties with their pumps, rendering them unable to douse the flames.
In a desperate bid to combat the inferno, the fire team enlisted the help of male students, who bravely assisted with buckets of water. Despite their valiant efforts, the fire proved too powerful, and sadly, one student lost her life.

According to the narrative from some students, she was unwell and was left in the dormitory to rest ,unfortunately when the fire started they forgot she was resting until the fire was doused and the door opened when they found her body.
Students’ books and uniforms, among other personal belongings were burnt in the fire.
This devastating incident raises concerns about the effectiveness of our fire fighting system in Ghana.
