Dear Mother-in-Law

Life’s unknown paths,
I never asked for this silent war,
Yet here we stand, behind closed doors.

Dear Mother-in-Law,

Could’ve vibed, laughed, and cried,
But together we were not destined,
Dear Mother-in-Law.

Love was the crime,
For this I’d leave my family.
How happy we’d been,
Destiny had its path,
With a soft heart, you’d welcome me,
Dear Mother-in-Law.

Unable to linger,
Life had its own plans.
This one plea yet remains,
Dear Mother-in-Law.
