A 21-year old Ghanaian football fan, Mohammed Huzeinu, has been convicted and sentenced to 100 days in prison by an Accra District Court for invading the pitch during Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Chad, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday 21st March 2025.
The sentencing, according to the GFA, comes as a stern warning to football fans, as such actions pose a financial penalty for the association as the FA and the Country as a whole risk paying fines to External Football Governing Bodies.
