Synopsis
“Broken Hallelujah Broken Hallelujah” is a Nigerian movie produced by Bimbo Ademoye it is her first movie for the year 2025
It is a faith based movie, that explores the struggles of being in the waiting room of God , faith and marriage. It acknowledges how difficult and draining the journey can be, additionally highlighting hopelessness.
But broken Hallelujah still carries Praise.
In my opinion it showcases marriage as a deeper connection beyond intimacy. It is not just the bubbles of imagination . A perfect illustration of the deeper connection of love, faith and overcoming the storms together as a team without breaking.
The role of Daniel Etim Effiong showcases the essence of a great partner who holds the fort when you are down.
Scenes That Stole The Show:
While the story follows the journey of Diya (Bimbo Ademoye) s she navigate her love with Dili ( Daniel Etim Effiong) a young man with big dreams, it shared the importance of team work, the need to flee from adultery .
Mastering words of affirmation and drawing strength from each other in moments of weakness.
Celebrating new beginnings and being hopeful: When she received the present from the old woman who called her a mother sparked a flame of optimism, her desire to try again and again. Moving forward after loss and finding strength
Having a supportive and kind community that lifts you up without judgement.
Faith: The presence of the old woman can be linked to the presence of the holy spirit, she received the holy spirit when she got baptized. The Holy Spirit never left although she had doubt. Our faith strengthens us during difficult times and encourages us to forge on even when we are struggling. Hope is not a wish it is a gift from God.
The ending scenes where their home is now filled with laughters of children while still expecting gave me a flashback to when her husband went on his knees and prayed over her belly.

Things To Remember;
Talking about ferlity issues with families struggling is like walking on egg shells.Their inability to conceive was an emotional stress that overwhelmed the couple. It was admirable that people shared success stories with them to encourage them. Dili on the other hand was also supportive and did not heed to the advice from his business associate but continued to be strong.
Remember to give Couples trying to conceive grace and support will comfort them in difficult times.
