NDC EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER EC’S DELAY IN ANNOUNCING THE ELECTION’S OUTCOME

Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as ‘General mosquito’ has expressed concern about the EC’s delay in announcing the results of the elections.

In a press briefing on Sunday 08.12.24 ,Johnson Asiedu Nketia expressed worry over the EC’s failure to promptly announce the results. He stated that the delay in the announcement was causing a tensed atmosphere inciting misinformation and unrest amongst the public .

Addressing the media from the NDC’s headquarters, the NDC Chairman called on the EC to announce the results and bring rest to the general public atmosphere. He warned that tensions were rising causing anxiety and restlessness especially among the youth.

‘We made known in our previous update that the only way to ensure peace was for the EC to announce the results’ He stated

He noted that both opposition parties: the NPP and the NDC had already produced their results. He stressed that to ensure and maintain peace and a peaceful atmosphere the EC needed to announce the results. He called on the EC to promptly fulfil it’s obligations
