Roselyn Akosua Mantey, famed for her victory on TV3’s Mentor, has unveiled her Guinness World Record certificate after completing the longest makeup marathon in history.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Accra, celebrated Akosua’s impressive accomplishment of a 5-day marathon makeup session. The event, which started on April 3, 2024, at Legon in Accra, saw her clock an astonishing 103 hours, 25 minutes, and 33 seconds of continuous makeup application.
After months of gathering evidence and waiting for validation, Guinness World Records confirmed and approved the feat. Speaking at the press event, an emotional Akosua reflected on the difficulties she faced, including the challenge of securing sponsorship for the ambitious record attempt.
Despite these setbacks, her perseverance paid off, and she expressed deep gratitude to her team, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to her success.
This achievement not only cements Akosua Mantey’s place in the Guinness World Records but also serves as an inspiration to many within Ghana’s beauty industry and beyond.
