In accordance with article 67 of the 1992 constitution, the outgoing President will address the nation on the 3rd of January 2025.This will be his closing address on the state of the nation. This will serve as the final official report on the condition of the country before He leaves office.
In a statement signed by the director of media relations of parliament, it is stated that there will be a dissolution of the 8th parliament. The statement mentioned that on the same date of 6th January 2025, the 9th parliament will be inaugurated.

In accordance with security protocol, the parliament would grant accreditation to media personnel to cover the event on the scheduled date.
Media houses were petitioned to present names of personnel who be representing them for the purpose of accreditation.
