Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has made a donation of 250 packets of roofing sheets in aid of rebuilding the Kantamanto Market.This is a total of 5000 pieces together with ridge caps. This gesture is to assist traders and businesses affected by the recent fire at the Kantamanto Market.

The donation was made by the Greater Accra Regional Minister in the stead of the former Vice President.
Speaking to Joy News, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover stated the necessity of Insurance for all traders. He explained that an insurance was beneficial to guard against future uncertainties. He also mentioned that the former Vice President has intentions of providing Security Cameras to enhance security once the market reconstruction is complete.
Yaw Sarpong,the Financial Secretrary of the Kantamanto Market expressed his gratitude for this kind gesture made by the former Vice President.
