It has been alleged that Joseph Badu Boateng, popularly known as Dada Joe Remix, was involved in a fraudulent activity that exploited romance and inheritance scams. The operation is said to have targeted US victims, deceiving them out of millions of dollars. This development came weeks after US Attorney General Pamela Bondi spoke about the decision to pursue everyone involved in transnational schemes that rob many aged citizens of America.

According to information from the American Attorney General, they are working in conjunction with domestic law enforcement and their global counterparts to ensure criminals face justice. Recently, the Bureau is conducting a series of investigations into the matter, and arrests are being made, with victims being identified. Currently, two Ghanaian entertainment industry players and eight others face charges, while Dada Joe Remix has been extradited and is in the United States to face the law.
