Prophet Salifu Amoako’s Son, Elrad, Detained After Fatal East Legon Accident

Elrad Amoako, the teenage son of renowned religious leader Prophet Salifu Amoako, has been placed in custody following a tragic car accident in East Legon that resulted in the deaths of two individuals on October 12.

Elrad, who appeared before the Juvenile Court in Accra on November 1, 2024, was subjected to strict judicial measures, including the seizure of his American and Ghanaian passports to mitigate the risk of flight. As a minor, Elrad faces serious yet unspecified charges.

In addition to these precautions, the court has ordered a comprehensive medical evaluation at the University of Ghana Hospital, set for Monday. The next court hearing is scheduled for November 7, 2024, where further details regarding the case and Elrad’s role will be disclosed.

The incident has sparked widespread public reaction, fueling discussions about justice, road safety, and the handling of juveniles within Ghana’s legal system.
