The Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku delivered on his promise made in 2023. He presented buses to division one league clubs in Ghana. Wednesday 20.11.24 at the Accra Sports Stadium, He donated nine buses to nine division one league clubs in Ghana . The buses were donated to the top three teams from each Division one League zone after the 2023/24 season.
These buses are part of the GFA’s initiative to support the teams activities , to ease transportation and to promote development in the football sector. Kurt Okraku revealed that he had plans to extend bus acquisition initiative to benefit more clubs in the future.
Unfortunately after the ceremony ,the exercise has been labelled as scam.A careful examination of the buses shows the buses to be in bad shape. It is alleged that the buses are second hand buses and not brand new as depicted on the outside .The beneficiaries included New Edubiase FC, Okwawu United, Basake Holy Stars and Vision FC

Techiman FC former president, Charles Ntim was one of the beneficiaries. He could not be impressed with this action because of the poor state of the buses. Seidu Adamu, an American based sports journalist shared a picture supposedly depicting the interiors of one of the buses. In this picture it is seen that a section of the driver’s seat and pedals are extremely worn out. Seidu Adamu stated that
“Kurt Okraku imports paint ma m3nt) buses”
alleging that these buses are old buses packaged as new ones .Some of the club officials feel scammed by this gesture. They were promised new buses but had worn out buses .
