‘GHANA IS NOT BROKE’ – PRESIDENT AKUFFU-ADDO

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu-Addo has mentioned that He is optimistic about the future of the economy of Ghana . He explained that the Nation’s economy had exceeded the initial expectations. Reflecting on COVID 19 Pandemic and the setbacks it presented, the President underscored the Nation’s strong recovery.

In His Final State of the Nation’s Address, He stated that Ghana is not in a state of Financial Distress as portrayed by the opposition. He however pointed the strength of the economy despite the setbacks She encountered.

He explained that His government was handing over to the next government a Gross International Reserve of almost 8 billion United States Dollars . He emphasized this amount is more that the US 6.2 billion His administration inherited in the year 2017 when He took office.

The President noted that there had been a significant growth in the Nation’s Private sector. He explained that the growth of the Private sector was a reflection of the growth in the economy. He noted that the Private Sector as at October 2024 had recorded a 28.8% growth.

He explained that Ghana was on a sound footing contrary to what the critics of His administration would want Ghanaians to believe.
