The ministry of Interior has announced a temporary close of all land borders ahead of the December 7th general elections.
In a statement signed by the Minister for The Interior , Henry Quartey (MP),the ministry of interior has ordered a temporary closure of all land borders in Ghana with immediate effect . The border closure will end on December 08, 2024 at 6:00pm GMT.

This move serves as one of the measures to ensure the integrity of the December 7 general elections. The ministry has urged all citizens, foreigners and travelers to and from Ghana to cooperate with this directive.
Authorities have assured the general public that all necessary measures will be taken to maintain law and order before, during and after the elections.
