The Inspector General of Police, Dr.George Akuffo Dampare met with the leaders of the various political parties on December 3, 2024.
During this meeting, he commended the leadership of the various political parties for their demonstration of love for Ghana. He acknowledged their commitment to ensuring peace law and order before the elections period. He also encouraged them to continue during the elections and beyond the elections.

He assured the leadership of the various political parties that the national elections security task force was committed to deliver their best during the election period and beyond hence their constant engagements with them.
He stated that it was a way of demonstrating their commitment .This was also to ensure that the election process was impartial, firm, transparent and professional. He further explained that this was to ensure correct information.
‘We are transparent and we engage, it takes away the issue of misinformation and disinformation “
He stated that the constant call for meetings was necessary.This was to ensure transparency between the political parties and the National security task force.
