The transition process officially began on Wednesday 11.12.24 with a meeting at the Jubilee House in Accra. The meeting marked the beginning of handing over power from the ruling NPP government to the elect NDC government. Both the NPP and the NDC parties have listed members of their transition teams.

The responsibility of both teams is to ensure a smooth and peaceful transfer of power .This includes briefing the incoming government administration on key state matters, granting access to important government data and coordinating the formal inauguration of the president -elect.
President Nana Akufo-Addo emphasized the importance of ensuring a seamless transfer of power.
Speaking at the inauguration of the National Transition team held at the Accra International Conference center on Wednesday 11.12.24, the president-elect, John Mahama affirmed his full cooperation of the process to President Akufo-Addo.
‘Mr. President, you can count on my respect and cooperation during and even after this transition’
He also laid emphasis on his commitment to respect the outgoing president Akufo-Addo’s government during and after the transition process.
