John Mahama, the president-elect for Ghana promises to sustain the Free SHS Scheme. In an interview with VOA ,He makes His intentions about the Free SHS Scheme clear. He mentions that nobody is going to scrap off the Free SHS Scheme. He explains that all the rumors about the scheme abrogation are false.
‘Nobody is going to scrap Free SHS. What was said was political talk and gimmickry. We are going to maintain it.’ He stated

He emphasized that His government had plans to maintain the scheme by getting dedicated funding to sustain the scheme.
John Mahama is expected to be inaugurated on 07.01.25 at the Black Star Square, succeeding Nana Akufu-Addo as the president of Ghana.
