The vice presidential candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has expressed his disappointment in the December 2024 elections results. In a statement He made, He explained that losing the elections was not expected by he and the NPP. However he and the NPP regarded the decision of the Ghanaian people – He explained.
‘This was not the outcome, we, in the NPP envisaged. But we respect the verdict of the Ghanaian people.’

He emphasizes that the NPP had heard the Ghanaian people and accepts the verdict with utmost humility. He stated that He and the NPP were going to work t get it right with the Ghanaian people. He expressed gratitude to God and to the NPP party particularly Dr. Bawumia ,party faithfuls, his family and his friends for the opportunity given him to serve His people and His country
He expressed his belief in the party’s ideals hopes and traditions. He further expressed hope in the party’s ability to emerge out of this loss. He hoped the party emerges stronger and poised to win back the heart Ghanaians.
