Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., the Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has commenced a tour of fuel installations across the country to familiarize himself with their operations.
The Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., recently inspected fuel installations in Tema. During his visit, he emphasized the importance of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) resuming its refining operations. Mr. Tameklo highlighted that restarting TOR would reduce the need for imported refined oil, thereby easing pressure on the local currency.
The purpose of these visits is to gain first-hand insight into the ongoing activities, opportunities, and challenges, with the goal of providing the necessary regulatory support and guidance.
He was joined by Dr. Sheila Addo, the Deputy Chief Executive, and other members of the Authority’s management team.
The first stop was at the Ghana Petroleum Mooring Systems Limited (GPMS), where the team was taken offshore and briefed on the procedures for berthing fuel vessels and transferring fuel through pipelines to the terminals.
