There has been a disagreement over the selection of a new principal for the St.Vicente Nursing Training College following the retirement of the previous principal. As a result Naa Mahana Abukari has directed the closure of all the school’s offices
The retirement of the former principal has made room for a successor. The Overlord made a recommendation of a suitable candidate for the position,the board however made another recommendation leading to a conflict of interest.

Following this, the Registrar of the Dagbon Traditional Council,Alaskan Abdul Fataw has issued directives to the management and staff of the school to stop all activities and close down offices until further notice.
He has argued that the school’s disregard for the overlords directive has sparked dissatisfaction among stakeholders. Hence the need for the closure of the school in order to find amicable solution to the situation.
“The youth of Yendi came together and said once they have disobeyed the King’s directive,they have to close it down so that we find an amicable solution to the issue” – He stated.
