The Ghana Police on Thursday 05.12.24,demanded answers from the Commission’s District Electoral Officer of the Afadjato South in the Volta region. Electoral materials were transported in a private vehicle without police escort which is against the policy of the commission.
The policy of the Electoral Commission is for all officers to transport electoral materials in official vehicles with police escort.
The commission stated that they will look into the situation while cooperating with the Ghana Police in their investigations.

In a statement signed by Samuel Tettey, the deputy chairman , operations, The commission wants to assure the general public that this issue will be rectified. They emphasized that the situation will not affect the electoral process in the Afadjato South Constituency.
