President John Mahama has directed the Lands Commission to Cease All activities in relation to the sale of government lands. The directive expla that the sale ,lease and any process or transaction in relation to government owned lands must cease.

This directive is to aid the facilitation of a comprehensive review of the framework guiding the management of State Owned lands..
The Commission was requested to provide a detailed report of all recent developments concerning the State and Public lands within 14 days of the communication.
According to the Communication signed by Callistus Mahama, the President’s secretary, this mandate has been issued in the interest of the citizenry and future generations.
