President Mahama Submits First Set of Ministerial Nominees

The President, John Mahama has announced the first set of ministerial nominations . He submitted His first set of ministerial nominations to Parliament on January 9th 2025.

This move fulfils a key constitutional requirement following His inauguration as the President of the nation. This is in accordance of section 78 of the 1992 Constitution.

The nominations consist of three individuals for critical positions in Finance,Energy and Justice.

The nominees are :

1.Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson- Finance Minister Designates

2.Mr. John Abdulai Jinapor- Energy Minister Designate

3.Dr. Dominic Akurutinga Ayiney-Attorney General and Minister for Justice designate

Algban Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament has acknowledged receipt of the Designates and has referred them to the Appointments Committee for further directions.
