Deputy chair for EC, Samuel Tettey has announced that the coalition results for certain constituencies cannot be regarded as valid and legal. These constituencies are Dome Kwabenya, Okwaikwei Central, Ablekuma North and Tema Central.

During a press briefing in Accra on Friday 13.12.24, He explained that these constituencies did not follow the laid down procedures enshrined in CI 127. He explained that regardless of police presence at these centers, party supporters of both the NPP and NDC interfered with laid down processes for the exercise.
‘The centers were again besieged by party supporters who took over the process and forced out staff to declare results of their preferred candidates’
He mentioned that EC officials at these centers were threatened to declare winners without regarding the laid down structures and procedures. He declared that since the procedures for the exercise was in violation of the CI 127 procedure the commission regards the results of the coalition and declarations of these constituencies as illegal.
