Ghanaian songstress Sefa has officially parted ways with D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik. The ‘Sugar’ hitmaker revealed her exit during an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, confirming that her contract with the record label had come to an end without an extension.
Sefa shared that a few misunderstandings contributed to her decision to move on, and at a certain point, she even felt betrayed. Despite the rocky ending, the singer insists that she still sees Black Avenue Muzik as family, though she has no plans of returning to the label.
“I’ll always consider them family, but I don’t think I’ll be working with them again,” Sefa stated, adding that she would still offer help if needed.
Now focusing on her solo career, Sefa is open to signing with another record label if the terms are right. In the meantime, she’s pushing forward as an independent artist and promoting her latest single, ‘All Over,’ which features rising star Camidoh.
