Madam Patricia Appaigyei, Deputy Minority Leader, has stated that President John Dramani Mahama’s economic policies have resulted in anarchy and insecurity.
She further stated that the Mahama administration has been responsible for job losses in the economy.
Reacting to President Mahama’s State of the Nation speech in Parliament on Thursday, February 27, she urged him to mend Ghana’s falling economy if he claims Ghanaians voted overwhelmingly for the NDC.

“I don’t believe there is hope for anyone because all I heard were lamentations. If you are lamenting, have been handed the mantle, and claim to have won a tremendous triumph, then solve it, and we expect plans to do so,” she said.
The Asokwa MP went on to say, “I must say that the true state of the nation is not what the President delivered today because, after 50 days in office, the true state of the government is lawlessness, the true state of the economy is revocation of employment, and the true state of the economy is insecurity.”
“The economy is already in a condition of mismanagement. “These are the things going on in the country right now,” she told TV3’s Eric Mawuena Egbeta shortly after President Mahama presented his SONA.
“We also expected the President to issue a statement saying that everyone will be impressed by him, but that business will continue as usual. “There is nothing revolutionary about what the President said,” Appiagyei observed.
