SUPREME COURT DELIVERS JUDGMENT ON DISPUTED RECOALITION RESULTS

There has been legal and political disputes regarding the recoalition exercise. The NDC has opposed the results of the recoalition exercise. They described the exercise as unlawful and flawed. As a result Justice Gabriel Pwamang,the presiding judge of the Accra High Court ,has by law, quashed the orders of mandamus made for coalition of results by the EC.

The court has regarded the results of two constituencies: Nsawam Adoagyiri and Ahafo Ano North .

The ruling annuls the recoalated parliamentary election results for four constituencies. Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Ablekuma North and Techiman South are the affected constituencies.

The court emphasized that regardless of the annulment the mandamus application is still active .The order is scheduled to be heard by the High Court on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024.
