The king of the Ashanti Region has emphatically explained that He does not depend on politicians for His development. He emphatically pointed out that the role of politicians did not foster development in His region.

During a visit by the World Bank Vice President for Western and Central Africa, the Asantehene requested for a social contract to aid in the development of His region .
He stated that He does not depend on politicians and He does not want to depend on them for development.
“I don’t want to depend on them, so let’s have a social contract and then we do it”
