The EC has explained that they requested to use the Tesano Training Depot of the Ghana Police Service for the 2024 Elections-recoalition exercise.

Due to a number of security challenges it was not possible for election officials to complete the recoalition exercise at the assigned centers. The EC emphasized that the security in some of the coalition centers was inadequate resulting in the decision to use the Tesano Training Depot.
“Security in some of our Constituency coalition centers was not adequate, hence the decision to use the Tesano Training Depot ” – it stated.
The statement explained that the choice of the Tesano Training Depot was done in consultation with the Ghana Police Service for the police to provide adequate security services for the exercise.
