The president-elect John Mahama has expressed concerns over an allegation made by the NDC transition team members .The NDC transition team raised alarms that the sitting government has been awarding contracts and embarking on mass recruitment as they prepare to leave office. He explained that the NDC Transition team ,during their engagement with the Akufu-Addo led government noted that there has been mass recruitments into government agencies . They also alerted him on the last minute allotment of contracts
In a meeting between Him and Harriet Thompson, the UK’s High Commissioner on December 13.12.24 He called on their office to ensure that the NPP government closes his administration properly.

John Mahama’s concern about the situation was the potential hardships these moves will pose on his administration.
He explained that these moves will become a liability to the new government. He stated that he had called on both transition teams to deal with the situation. He also expressed His gratitude to the UK for their support and cooperation before during and after the general elections.
Interesting times ahead. If these assertions are true then the transition team needs to address the matter as soon as possible.
