The Minister of Education, Dr . Yaw Osei Adutwum has fulfilled his promise as WAEC finally released the provisional results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) after a delay caused by a GH₵118 million debt owed by the government. The results are now available on the WAEC website for candidates to access, to know their fate.
According to WAEC, the delay was due to the government’s outstanding debt, which affected the scanning of objective cards and other post-examination activities. However, after receiving GH₵35 million to complete the scanning process, WAEC was able to release the results .

Reviewing the key highlights of the results, which included withheld results and cancellations, reveals a decline in performance in three core subjects: English Language, Social Studies, and Integrated Science.
