Mothers are usually encouraged to adopt exclusive nine month period feeding plan for their newborns. This method is healthy both for mother and child. The importance of exclusively breastfeeding a child for the first six months period of the baby’s life cannot be overstated.

This method is not only encouraged for the baby’s sake but also for the mother’s. Breastfeeding after birth is known to encourage the womb for returning back to normal position. Right after birth and in the first week, breastfeeding may be considered a discomfort because it is associated with contractions in the stomach. The contractions may be accompanied with several benefits;this helps to reduce the stomach of the new mother. Constantly breastfeeding helps the stomach to return to its normal state after childbirth.

The breast milk is known to be safe, it contains several nutrients which aids in the growth of the child. It is easy to prepare as the body prepares everything for the baby without the need for any human interference, it is also warm and easy. There is no washing plates or cups and disinfecting during and after breastfeeding.

The breast milk contains everything the child will need for growth and safety. It takes care of growth inside and outside; including taking care of skin rashes of baby once breastmilk is applied to the affected area.

The pain and discomfort after birth may discourage many mothers from breastfeeding, not forgetting the stress and backaches that accompanies breastfeeding but considering the benefits it is advised that in regular cases mothers be encouraged to give their babies breastmilk at least in the beginning of their journey into life.
