During Mahama’s inauguration ceremony at Accra on Tuesday 7th January 2025, the Nigerian President expressed His support for Ghana’s newly elected president, John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at the ceremony, He assured John Mahama of Nigeria’s support. He pledged solidarity and commitment in strengthening the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria.
He expressed his desire for the bond between Ghana and Nigeria to be strengthened. He mentioned that Nigeria and Ghana were siblings and as such Ghana could always count on Nigeria. He mentioned :
‘My dear brother, I am here to walk with you. You know you can count on me at any given time you call on me.We are your brothers and sisters “
He also wished him profound success and progress in his governance.
