Hope in Sorrow

The English says ” Everything has an end’. Russians say ‘ всему есть конец’ and the French says it this way “tout a une fin”.

Anything marked by time has an end. Life is part of the everything that has an end because it is also marked with time. Time and chance happens to all men. Many have said that the only obvious truth is that death is after us all. Although this is an obvious truth, it hits so hard when we lose a loved one and it causes much sorrow.

The Oxford dictionary defines the word Sorrow as
A feeling of deep distress caused by loss, disappointment, or other misfortune suffered by oneself or others.’
No matter how well in years one is before passing away we use the word “loss” This expresses how the human nature perceives this feat.

The fact that ‘passing on’ is an inevitable part of the human experience does not make the expression less painful. Although sorrow is a painful process, it is a time that happens to all men. Sorrow is a process and it also has an end – good news. Sorrow is a price we all pay for losing a loved one. It is a very unpleasant and seemingly overwhelming experience.

During such times we need to get a grip and remind ourselves that this too has an end. This is the hope we have even in sorrow that, there is an end.
An Italian proverb says that Hope is the last thing ever lost. Remember that Joy comes in the morning.
You will be happy again
You will smile again.
End is part of life
This too shall pass.
Have a great weekend.
