The Finance Minister, Dr. Amin Adam has failed to present the much anticipated 2025 mini budget to the parliament. Parliament has gone into recess until January 2.25 without hearing and approving the expenditure in advance for appropriation for the new government.
Dr. Ato Forson , addressing the issue, explained it was expected of the outgoing presidential administration to present to the house with the expenditure of the first quarter of 2025 as is the requirement of Article 180.
‘It is expected that the outgoing president, acting persuant to Article 180 of the constitution, would act in good faith and bring before this house a proposal for expenditures to cater for the first quarter of 2025’

He however assured the stakeholders and all Ghanaians that this delay in the budget presentation will be addressed when the NDC comes into power on January 7.25
Addressing this issue, Afenyo Markin accused the NDC as being the cause of the delay of the budget presentation. He emphasized that the NDC has failed to cooperate with the outgoing administration to facilitate the exercise. He also stated the NPP’s readiness to present the budget anytime the house returns from recess.
