The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has paid tribute to renowned lead vocalist Naa Amanua of the Ga traditional music group Wulomei, who passed away on December 16, 2024. Naa Amanua dedicated her life to preserving and promoting Ghanaian traditional music,earning a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
MUSIGA described Naa Amanua as “more than a singer; a storyteller, a cultural ambassador, and a beacon of pride for Ghana.” Her passing is an immeasurable loss to MUSIGA, the music and cultural communities of Ghana, and beyond.
