As the current clerk Cyril Kwabena Oteng Nsiah reaches 60 years in February 2025, He is set to officially go on retirement as per the labour laws of the country. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, one of four deputy clerks have been considered for the position.

Ahumah is a lawyer by profession. He is also one of the longest serving procedural clerks of the Ghana Parliament. Considering his background, work experiences and training, He was considered the best fit for the role.
Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror will officially take up the role on January 01.25. He is therefore expected to be in the chair to officiate the swearing in of the newly elected members of parliament on the 7.01.25.
