The 2024 WASSCE results will be released on December 29, 2024, as announced by the Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
This confirmation puts to rest earlier speculation about the release date, which was initially rumored to be between December 9 and 15, 2024.

The Minister addressed speculation about incomplete debts, stating that journalists lacked facts about the debt details and should avoid confusing the public. He expressed gratitude towards workers who sacrificed their holiday break to work on releasing the results, noting that they are 50% complete .
WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Kapi John, revealed that the council will miss its deadline due to unresolved financial and logistical issues and dismissed the dates promised by the Minister of Education.
Amid uncertainty and controversy, students and parents of WASSCE graduates can only remain hopeful.
